Pathways to Resilience - Therapeutic support for recovery from family violence

FAN provides therapeutic support for young people in the outer eastern Melbourne region who are recovering from experiences of family violence. Our services are available to people linked to the Maroondah, Yarra Ranges, and Knox areas. We offer both one-to-one and group-based therapeutic responses, using approaches such as art therapy, and counselling.

Our Therapeutic Approach

All services are provided in safe, supportive environments and are:

  • Trauma informed
  • Recovery focused
  • Evidence informed
  • Person centred,responding to your unique needs and strengths
  • Culturally respectful and inclusive

Talking With Pride

  • An arts-based therapeutic support group specifically
    for LGBTIQA+ young people aged 15–25 who have experienced family violence.
  • Offers a safe space to:
    • Create peer connections
    • Build individual wellbeing
  • Explore how family violence intersects with
    homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and/or
    intersexphobia
  • Meets weekly in Box Hill during school terms
