The Creative Arts Therapy Program provides healing and recovery support to LGBTIQA+ and pregnant or parenting young people who have experienced family violence.
It offers a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space to explore emotions and experiences through creative expression — no art skills required. The program is completely free, removing financial barriers to therapeutic support.
What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy uses creative activities to explore emotions, build self-awareness, and support healing.
No art skills needed — just a willingness to try.
Sessions might include:
- Drawing, painting or sculpture
- Writing or poetry
- Music, drama or movement
- Reflecting on your art to understand your feelings
Who is the Creative Arts Therapy Program For?
This program is for all young people aged 12–25 who have experienced family violence or homelessness.
With support available for young people who:
- Identify as LGBTIQA+
- Are pregnant or a young parent
Eligable young people will be connected to Melbourne’s Eastern Metropolitan Region.
