What is the PRBP?

The Private Rental Brokerage Program (PRBP) supports young people who are ready to live independently in a private rental or share house.

It is delivered in partnership with Family Access Network (FAN) and Anchor Inc., and funded by the State Government under the Youth Housing Action Plan 2.

How We Can Help

We provide tailored support to help you:

  • Apply for private rentals or sublet share-house rooms
  • Understand your tenancy rights and responsibilities
  • Budget for rent and living costs
  • Access flexible financial support for:
    • Bond and rent in advance
    • Starter packs and essential household goods

Who Can Access the Program?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be aged 16–25
  • Live in Melbourne’s Eastern Metropolitan Region (Whitehorse, Boroondara, Manningham or Monash)
  • Be experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Be actively engaged with a support worker
  • Be financially ready to sustain a tenancy
